Best known as “Mile 0” officially marking the beginning of the Alaska Highway, Dawson Creek has a rich and colourful history and attracts a large travel and tourism market en-route to the Yukon and Alaska. The newly built Alaska Highway House allows visitors to experience the story behind the building of the historic highway while the time before the construction of the highway comes alive at the Walter Wright Pioneer Village.

Located in an authentic grain elevator, The Dawson Creek Art Gallery features local artists as well as major traveling collections. The Saturday Farmer’s Market attracts residents and visitors by the local produce, baked goods, preserves, eggs, and jewelry and furniture made by local craftsman.
